When the microwave oven doesn't work for any reason - it's terrible. One of the most common problems - not working buttons in the microwave oven. Don’t need to panic and buy a new microwave oven. It could be repaired by replacing the microwave touch pad. To determine if the touchpad is defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad. Process of replacing is very simple, if you had worked with appliances before. One thing! Be careful because the microwave has high voltage, and you must be sure that there is no electricity inside, when you begin to replace the touchpad in the Microwave Carrier ES820EJV-S.
- Unplug your microwave oven from the outlet, or use a circuit breaker.
- Look at the touchpad to find out whether it snaps out or is screwed into place. Take it out.
- If the reverse side of the touchpad is plugged into the wires of the microwave, unplug them from the wiring harness.
- Plug the new touch pad to the wiring harness.
- Reattach the touchpad to the front of the microwave the same way you took it apart.
- Plug in the microwave and put it back on the shelf or counter.
