If your Dryer Viking ss 304 has a broken start button and isn’t turn on, read the following instruction, and you can fix that by yourself. Following instructions has 8 easy steps to change start button.
- Shut off the power and unplug dryer.
- Pull the knob off. Pull the control knob straight up and off of the front of the push-to-start switch.
- Need to remove back panel. Move Viking Dryer forward and use driver to remove back panel.
- In this step you must remove the switch (push-to-start). First of alll you must to remember or make a photo of wires connected to switch. Release the locking tab and slowly rotate the push-to-start switch while pulling it, to release it from the control panel.
- Installing new switch panel. Push new switch panel and rotate until it will be locked in place. And here you have to attach wires of previous step.
- Connect back panel. Here you must place back panel on console. Using the driver insert the mounting screws and tighten them firmly.
- Reinstalling of the knob off. Push the control knob down on the stem of the new push-to-start switch.
- Restore power. And last step to connect your Viking Dryer into the wall outlet.
