It is not a secret you can extend the life of your dishwasher and avoid costly repairs with simple tips. Add detergent correctly. Do not load too many dishes into the dishwasher. Take water rigidity into account. Remove large leftovers. When you use your dishwasher, parts become dirty over time and require cleaning. It is recommended to use detergents to clean the interior surfaces about once a month. In fact, even the best appliance is not immune to a breakdown. If you notice that your GE GDF530PGM0BB dishwasher is not working fine and not turning, it is necessary to track the reason for the issue. The electronic control board runs all the dishwasher's functions—filling, washing, drying and draining. Often, there are other reasons which lead to the not turning dishwasher. But if you are sure that the control board is out of order, replace it. To replace the control board:
- Remove the panel along with any insulation.
- Next, remove the two inner screws securing the control board support panel.
- Disconnect the door wire connecter from the panel.
- Pull the cover off.
- You can now drop the support panel down and pull it out.
- Using the quarter-inch socket or nut driver, remove the grounding screw.
- Now use pliers to squeeze the mounting pins to pull the old board free of the panel.
- You’re now ready to install the new main control board.
- Align the board in the support panel and snap it onto the mounting pins.
- Secure the grounding screw.
- Connect the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals on the new board.
- With the wires aligned in the slot, reposition the support panel.
- Replace the screws to secure.
- Connect the door wire connecter.
- Realign the junction box cover and replace the screw to secure it.
- Reposition the lower access panel and secure it with the screws.
