Even without any professional skills or experience the owners of the LG refrigerator understand that weird noise is provoked by a breakdown. It is hard to say distantly what exactly is malfunctioning, but there are several common parts which cause the issue in case of defects. Start testing with the condenser fan and motor. The condenser fan and motor are located near your appliance’s compressor. The fan’s purpose is to circulate air over the condenser coils to cool them down while also blowing air over the drain pan to evaporate the water from the freezer defrosting. As mentioned earlier, if the noise is coming from the bottom rear of your refrigerator, a damaged condenser fan motor is the likely cause. Replacing the fan is a simple enough repair and shouldn’t take long at all. Remember cleaning condenser coils. Unplug the refrigerator and move it away from the wall. Wipe dust, dirt, pet hair, etc. from the condenser coils with a coil brush. Sweep or vacuum up any dirt, dust, pet hair, etc. on the floor. Push refrigerator back into place, being careful not to run over any cords or tubing. Plug refrigerator back in to the wall receptacle. Possibly, you will have to replace freezer light if it doesn’t work. Other parts may also need a repair or replacement so we strongly recommend inviting a professional refrigerator repair assistant. Take care of your appliance and it will work longer without losing its efficiency. Schedule a regular maintenance visit to clean and check your GE refrigerator in time.
