You loaded the dirty dishes into your Jenn-Air JDB8700AWS1 dishwasher, the washing cycle began as usual, but did not finish properly! Water (perhaps even soapy) remained inside the dishwasher and did not drain. Instead of the usual draining sound, there is only silence or strange noise - rumbling, humming or clicking. Familiar situation? Well, let’s see what’s going on with your dishwasher! A malfunctioning drain pump cannot drive the impeller that forces water through the drain hose. And if this is the problem behind a clogged dishwasher, the pump will have to be replaced because it cannot be repaired. A qualified technician can swap out the drain pump for you because of the electrical skill involved. Be sure to use a Jenn-Air-approved technician so that you don't void the warranty by using an unapproved repair person. One of the important parts of any dishwasher is a pressure switch. It is a special sensor that measures the level of water pressure inside the dishwasher and sends a signal to the program module. Water level data are required for each wash cycle, and if they are not received, the machine starts to work incorrectly. Check to see if the pressure switch isn’t defective. If so, replace it. The control panel of your dishwasher may also need a diagnostic. Without a working electronic control panel, no dishwasher will work. This part directs all the processes taking place in the unit: washing, drying, draining and others. If the washer refuses to drain and do the cycle, then most likely the control panel is out of order. In any case, contacting the service center should be immediate. After all, with a broken control panel, you simply will not be able to use your dishwasher. Give us a call to make an appointment ASAP!
