One of the most used appliances at your home is range. If your range is not working, there could be a lot of issues. Today in our article we will try to help you to fix this problem. All our advices are dedicated for owners Viking vgsc3064bss and similar models.
Check your power cord. Replace the power cord if it's damaged or fails due to an internal break in the wiring. Also replace it if you move a range to a location with a different electrical outlet type-4 prong instead of 3 prong 220 volt outlet, for example.
Another common solution is to replace the control board. The electronic oven control (EOC) board governs the timing and execution of oven functions such as baking and broiling. It's usually in the control console and often has a digital clock on the front of its housing. Replace the electronic control board if it doesn't light up when it's supplied with electrical power, if it doesn't operate properly or doesn't properly send voltage to the bake or broil element.
Relay control board could even be a solution. The relay board has electrical relays that control voltage going to major loads such as the bake element or a surface element, based on signals from the control board. Replace the relay control board if it fails to properly control voltage to a component.
Thermal fuse must be replaced or reseted. The oven thermal fuse trips when the temperature in the oven gets too hot. After the thermal fuse trips, the oven won't heat. If the thermal fuse trips after the self-cleaning cycle, try resetting the fuse by turning off electricity to the range, removing the exterior back panel, and pushing the reset button. If the fuse tripped during normal operation, replace it. If the problem persists, the electronic oven control board might require replacement. Reset the thermal fuse after replacing the control board.
