A control board replacement is a rare type of issue happening to the LG dryers. In fact, if your LG dryer doesn’t turn on, the power works as the light turns on when you open the door, it is the main sign of the malfunctioning main control board. The control board regulates the main functions of the refrigerator. This part is often incorrectly diagnosed. Before replacing the main control board, test all of more commonly defective parts. If none of the other components are defective, consider replacing the main control board. If you have an intention to replace the control board on your own^ follow the steps below. As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning. To replace the main control board in your refrigerator, first remove the screws securing the control board access panel. Pull the panel off. Note the location of the control board wire connecters and disconnect all of the wires. With the wires removed, pull back the retaining tabs to release the old board. Install the new control board by first sliding the board behind the tabs on the right side of the housing then snap the board behind the left tabs. Connect the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals on the new board. Realign the access panel and replace the screws to secure. You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the refrigerator is working properly.
