If your oven stops heating and you are convinced that power is being supplied to the oven, check if the protection system has worked. In many models, protective elements are installed that prevent fire (due to overheating of heating elements) and electric shock to owners (due to leaks through a heating element or poor insulation of wires). Often the fuse is hidden inside the oven body, and you cannot do without disassembling the oven. You can check the fuse with a tester, and you can fix the malfunction by replacing the fuse with a new one. Very often the cause of the malfunction is the wiring or connections. This is due to the fact that the electric heating element consumes a large current and, during operation, the contacts burn out, and the insulation, losing its elasticity, crumbles. It will hardly be possible to prevent this process, but it is quite easy to restore the oven to work. If checking the elements of the oven according to the previous instructions did not give results, then most likely there is a malfunction in the mode switch. If the electronic control unit fails, it will definitely not be possible to repair it at home. Testing electronic components requires special equipment and certain skills. We recommend not to waste time in vain and immediately contact the service center that repairs the oven. If the oven is equipped with a mechanical mode switch, carefully inspect its contacts. If necessary, clean them of dirt and debris. If one of the contacts burned out completely, you will have to replace the entire switch. Some baking modes involve starting a fan for convection of hot air. Check if the blades rotate freely and if everything is in order with the wires. Lubricate bearing or replace wiring if necessary. A mechanical timer is also considered not repairable at home, but you can replace it with a new one yourself. If the backlight does not turn on, check the condition of the incandescent lamp and the wires that fit the socket. Don’t hesitate to contact our customer support for more details!
