It will be impossible to continue using your Dacor cooktop if two burners are not working. Unless, of course, you prefer a hard way. If not, this short guide is what you are looking for. One of the top issues leading to the not working burners is flame absence. If the burners have no flame, check to see if the igniters are sparking. You can usually determine if they are functioning properly by listening for a clicking sound. If the igniters do not spark, they likely need to be cleaned and dried. Clean the burner assembly as well. When the igniters are in good working order but the burner still has no flame, make sure that the gas supply is turned on to the cooktop. Check the gas supply valve to see if it is in the on position and adjust it if necessary. If the valve is open but the cooktop is not receiving gas, consult your gas company to determine what the problem might be. As a rule, the burners don’t want to work if they are dirty with grease or clogged with food debris. Begin by removing the grate covering the troubled burner. Next, remove the burner cap, which should lift off with ease. The sealed burner base will either lift off or you may need to remove a couple screws before removing it. Clean the surrounding area with a warm, soapy washcloth. Soak the sealed burner base in vinegar or warm water and use a stiff brush to remove any debris. Finally, clean any remaining debris out of the burner holes with a toothpick, sewing needle or compressed air. Reinstall the burner, cover and the grill, and try igniting the burner once more. If this doesn't work, there could be a defective part that requires a replacement, and you may need to consult a professional.
