Have you ever put milk, fruit, meat or other items into your refrigerator, only to discover that your fridge is freezing your food? While this problem is somewhat rare, it can happen – and when it does, you’re left with food that needs to be thawed. We have noticed that the most common issue in refrigerator LG ltes20020s is damaged thermistor. What is a thermistor? The thermistor monitors the air temperature and sends the temperature reading to the control board. The control board then regulates power to the compressor and evaporator fan based on the thermistor readings. If the thermistor is defective, the compressor and evaporator fan may run too frequently. As a result, the refrigerator will be too cool. If the thermistor is damaged it needs to be replaced. We have a simple guide for you, that will help to change it.
First of all disconnect your fridge from electricity. Locate the thermistor in the refrigerator section; it’s under a small plastic cover attached to the surface of the back wall, side wall or ceiling. Release the thermistor cover and pull the thermistor out of the cover. Pull the thermistor out of the mounting clip and unplug the wire harness. Remove the thermistor.Attach the thermistor to the mounting clip and then to the wire harness. Reattach the thermistor's cover and reinstall any shelves you removed. Restore power for your fridge. Make some tests.
If you don’t want to replace the thermistor by yourself, you can contact our customer support team and arrange an appointment at the convenient time.
