Today, Samsung offers not only high quality washing machines, but also drying machines, the main purpose of which is to make laundry dry and pleasant to the touch. Housewives no longer need to hang wet clothes, open the dryer and take out the ready to put on laundry. Unfortunately, there is no appliance able to work endlessly without breakdown. If your Samsung dryer is getting power to the unit but the drum is not spinning, it is necessary to investigate the issue and find a solution. There is a necessity to make sure Child Lock is off. Child Lock stops the Start button from working, so if you're trying to start a cycle and the drum won't spin, it could be Child Lock. You can check by looking to see if the icon is lit. Depending on your dryer model, the Child Lock icon may look different. It may look like a baby or a lock with a smiley face. If it is lit, the instructions to turn it off can be found in your user manual or you can refer to your control panel (you'll need to press and hold two buttons for three or more seconds). If you experience difficulty turning off Child Lock, you can also unplug the dryer or turn off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, and then plug the dryer back in or turn the circuit breaker back on. If it is not a Child Lock mode, your dryer may have a faulty part. Most often, the drum of the dryer does not spin due to overloading. When you put in too much clothes, bearings, motor and belt begin to wear. Never exceed the established limit. Ideally, load 0.5 kg less. If it is the belt, it is better to replace it. Unplug the electrical cord of the Samsung dryer from the electrical outlet before attempting to replace the belt. Locate the screws on the bottom of the front panel, and remove them with a screwdriver. Pull the front panel up, dislodging it from the clips on the top of the panel and place the panel out of the way. Remove the shroud cover that is below the dryer drum, unfastening the screws with a screwdriver and locating the motor and idler arm at the base of the dryer cabinet. Push the idler arm forward by hand to relieve the tension on the belt, and remove the belt from the motor and idler arm pulleys as well as from around the dryer drum. Place the new belt around the drum, and move the idler arm forward to give enough slack to loop the belt over the motor pulley and around the idler arm pulley, letting the idler arm move back to add tension to the belt. Reattach the shroud cover to the dryer with screws and place the front panel in position, sliding the top of the panel over the clips and securing the bottom with screws. Plug the electrical cord of the Samsung dryer into the electrical outlet.
