If you are reading this piece of information, your Sub-Zero refrigerator probably won't cool. Keep going and read till the end. There are two common scenarios which cause the issue. First one deals with old and tired appliances not able to cool properly anymore. Here, the owners may try to prolong the lifespan of the unit and use it a bit longer. Still, they will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator soon. Another one is more optimistic. Most likely, some parts are broken and after replacing the unit returns to normal functioning. We recommend doing a diagnostic of the evaporator fan motor. This motor is crucial in the circulation of cool air into your unit. If your freezer is still functioning properly while your refrigerator won’t cool, this is a sign that it may be a problem with the evaporator fan motor. The fan should be checked for any obstructions. If the fan is not flowing properly (w/ no obstructions), is excessively noisy, or the motor doesn’t display continuity (which is tested with a multimeter), it needs to be replaced. Check the door gasket for signs of dirt or damage, like cracks or tears. While a dirty gasket can be cleaned with a damp cloth, a damaged gasket requires replacement. And examine the temperature control thermostat. If the temperature control thermostat is not working properly, it may prevent the refrigerant system from running.
