If the buttons of your microwave aren’t working - it means that you can’t use the microwave. In this case the solution is very simple - replacing the touchpad. To determine if the touchpad is defective, try pressing each of the buttons on the control panel. If some of the buttons respond correctly while others don’t, replace the touchpad. In this article you will find simple instructions for replacing the touchpad in Viking vmoss200 (and similar models).
- Unplug the microwave.
- Look at the touch pad to find out whether it snaps out or is screwed into place. Take it out.
- If the reverse side of the touch pad is plugged into the wires of the microwave, unplug them from the wiring harness. Don’t worry, they’re not hot.
- Plug the new touch pad to the wiring harness.
- Reattach the touch pad to the front of the microwave the same way you took it apart.
- Plug in the microwave and put it back.
